You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown

Charles Schultz’s beloved Peanuts characters were brought to life in EtonHouse International School’s production of “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown”.

“You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” is a musical comedy that premiered on Broadway in 1971. It combines classic scenes from the comics with catchy musical numbers.

The young cast had great fun throughout the hour-long performance and their energy fed through to the audience who loved every minute of it. Charlie Brown (Tomoteru Ogasahara), Lucy (Ziyan Wen), Linus (Mitchell Huang), Shroeder (Will Williams), Sally (Ela Lemut) and, of course, Snoopy (Clarence Wang) worked extremely hard for the past two months, under the expert guidance of Dr. Steven Hawkins and Ms. Lise Wang. And their hard work really showed. It would be unfair to pick out a standout performance. There were too many to choose from.

One of the wonderful things about being a small school (with a big HEART) is that when it comes to activities like the school production, everyone who wants to be involved, can be. Often in a lead role. The cast featured students from Year 4 all the way up to Year 11. The cast of Charlie Brown really grasped their opportunity, and the experience will stay with them for a lifetime.
